Hi all,
I got myself in a bit of a pickle.
Im installing “Warm Tiles” radiant electric floor heating wires in my bathroom. The intended floor covering will be ceramic tile on top of self leveling compound over the wires. The subfloor is a ~6″ aged concrete slab.
Im installing the wires in a 3″-1.5″-3″ spacing as per the instructions.
My problem is that during the pour of the self level, one “loop” of the 1.5″ wires moved closer than the 1.5″ spacing. There is approx 5/8″ between these 2 wires. This happened on the section beside the toilet where the strapping for the wire was 2′ O/C. The 5/8 gap runs 3/4 of the 2′ length, going back to 1.5 within 5″ of the strapping on either end.
thanks for visiting today!
